Excerpt from the spring 1998 issue of American Kite Magazine: World Cup teams will be selected based on their points standing derived from three competitions prior to July 1, 1988. The points will be totaled 70 percent ballet, 30 percent precision. Finally, one of the three scores must come from a regional-class event. Two teams will be chosen to represent the U.S. at the World Cup Sportkite Championship, September 11-13, 1998, at Dieppe, France.
